Philosophy

Japanese tavern cooking does not aim to impress — it aims to comfort. We work with local produce and techniques learned in Japan: slow-burning charcoal, patient broths, precise knife work. Every dish is honest, with nothing to hide. Like in a Tokyo taishu sakaba, the counter is the best seat in the house and everyone is welcome.

Our story

Raku was born from trips to Japan and late nights in neighbourhood izakayas where the food is straightforward and the atmosphere unforgettable. We wanted to bring that experience to Sant Cugat: a place to share freshly grilled kushiyaki, a comforting bowl of ramen, and a glass of sake with friends. No pretence, just good taste.
